Naga Jewellery Making Empowers Young Women In Tening  

In a collaborative effort between the District Administration of Tening and Grassroots Empowerment, Nagaland, a one-day workshop on Naga Jewellery Making was conducted on September 30th, 2023. The workshop was organized as part of the Skill Development initiative under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, 2023, and had the theme "Rooted and Self-Reliant."
The workshop aimed to empower and skill 40 young women from Tening Sub-Division who had shown keen interest in Naga Jewellery Making. These women had previously undergone training and were organized into Self Help Groups. The goal is for them to utilize their creative ideas and skills in Naga Jewellery Making, fostering self-reliance.
This initiative not only contributes to skill development but also promotes economic independence among young women, aligning with the overarching goal of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.

A 30-day long training cum workshop programme for 25 bamboo handicraft artisans supported by EXIM Bank, Mumbai was launched at the Bamboo Resource Centre, Chümoukedima, Nagaland on May 30, 2023. 

Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) in Nagaland conducted Kisan Kalyan Karyashala (Farmers’ Welfare Workshop) across the State under the theme ‘Doubling the farmers’ income by 2022’ on May 2.  

Akuluto: ATMA Akuluto block under Zunheboto district conducted the workshop at VK Town Hall. Special guest Trongdiba Tongpi, EAC, VK highlighted that VK area is blessed with good soil and climatic condition for cultivation and encouraged the participants to take up diversified agriculture. He lauded the efforts of agri & allied departments in the block and further exhorted the farmers to be dedicated and hard working.
